ABOUT THE OTTAWA SUMMER TIP-OFF
Ottawa Summer Tip-Off is Ottawa’s first corporate charity basketball tournament, bringing together local businesses and community leaders for a friendly 3-on-3 competition in a fun and inclusive environment for players of all skill levels. All proceeds from the event support the CHEO Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which provides specialized, around-the-clock care to premature and critically ill newborns from across Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, and Nunavut, while also supporting families through some of their most challenging moments. Funds raised help provide life-saving equipment, enhance family-centered care, and ensure newborns receive the strongest possible start in life.

A LITTLE GIRL NAMED FAITH
Faith arrived in this world already fighting.
From her very first moments, she was placed in the care of CHEO — tiny, fragile, yet braver than words can capture. Her days began with surgeries, constant monitoring, and a long, uncertain journey that kept her in the NICU for nearly two months.
Surgeons, ENT specialists, nurses, and dedicated staff stood beside her day and night. With steady hands and open hearts, they guided her through moments that could have gone either way. Time and again, they chose hope. Time and again, they gave Faith the chance to keep fighting.
Faith’s story is not unique — it represents the countless babies and families who rely on CHEO during the hardest moments of their lives. Even the smallest lives can carry the greatest strength, thanks to the care, expertise, and compassion provided by CHEO’s NICU team.
This fundraiser is for CHEO — to support the incredible care that gives babies like Faith the chance to fight, to heal, and to thrive.
Because faith, like hope, can change everything.
